Some Strategic Points of View

About This Project

The artist Viel Bjerkeset Andersen has created a work of art dedicated to Fredriksten Fortress.

Andersens work Some Strategic Points of View is partly a led-light based communication between the fortifications on Gyldenløve, Oveberget an the Belltower, and partly light tags with mirror and sunlight. Red lights are also being triggered in the trees where the Swedish king Carl XII is believed to have been killed.

Late afternoons and evenings offer the best visual experience of the led-light signals communication, while the light drawings in the Citadel appear, disappear and reform with the changing sunlight.
